Findley, Finally!

If you've been by Little 5 Points this week, you've seen the changes in Findley Plaza at the corner of Euclid and Moreland Avenue. This renovation project is a decade in the making beginning with the initial formation of Friends of Little 5 Points Parks in 2015.

L5P Arts & Culture Town Hall - May 21

As part of our work on an Arts & Culture Plan with the Atlanta Regional Commission, we have been asking what makes our Little 5 Points community special and what you love and want to preserve. Recently we worked on The Big 5 sign at Findley Plaza as part of Little 5 Fest to allow community members to share their love for the neighborhood!

More Than a Diner: A Local’s Love Letter to L5P

See him most mornings now out in Gregory Davis Plaza, tidying up from the turnabout on Seminole to the sidewalk fronting Moreland. He looks after the space and cares for it as he always has, because Little Five is a place, he insists, that changed his life.

Supporting those in Need

Last week the City of Atlanta learned some very disturbing news. During a clearing of a homeless encampment by the Department of Public Works, Cornelius Taylor, a homeless man, suffered life-threatening injuries and later passed away at Grady Hospital.

This tragedy has spurred renewed conversations about how to help those who are unhoused in Atlanta as the problem continues to grow in our communities. As many of you know, the L5P Alliance has worked with multiple strategies to help with this issue in our district.

Clean-ups and Constant Trash

Thanks again to the volunteers who came out for our monthly clean-up in Little 5 Points. Held the second Sunday morning of each month, it’s an opportunity for friends to gather in support of keeping the L5P district clean. This combined with weekly clean-ups by Georgia Works can go a long way in making our area welcoming.
