Clean-ups and Constant Trash

Thanks again to the volunteers who came out for our monthly clean-up in Little 5 Points. Held the second Sunday morning of each month, it’s an opportunity for friends to gather in support of keeping the L5P district clean. This combined with weekly clean-ups by Georgia Works can go a long way in making our area welcoming. 

Sometimes this can feel like an uphill battle when Little 5 Points is struggling with property damage and trash on almost a daily basis. As many of you have likely seen, individuals are digging through trash and throwing it around the sidewalks. Properties have had their windows smashed in multiple locations. We continue to work with Zone 6 Major Webster to try to get additional support from APD in the area and encourage residents and visitors to call 911 if you see any illegal behavior.

Our next monthly clean-up will be Sunday, October 9. Volunteers will meet at 9 am in Findley Plaza, and we will provide clean-up supplies as well as coffee from Aurora. Please come out and join your neighbors!
