Welcoming Everyone

The L5P Alliance board has been taking this very important time in our collective history to have important discussions about inclusion, social injustice, systemic racism and what it means to be a diverse community. We believe Little 5 Points is a welcoming place for everyone!  Please receive the statement below as starting point for our ongoing work in furthering Little 5 Points' culture of welcoming and inclusion for all. 

Recent events have highlighted the need in our country for all of us to come together and commit to justice for all citizens, especially people of color, and in this instance, Black people. The Little Five Points Alliance fully supports those peacefully protesting recent instances of racially biased brutal acts resulting in tragedy and the loss of life most particularly in Minneapolis, Glynn County, Georgia and Louisville, and now in Atlanta.

While Little Five Points is not perfect, the Alliance reaffirms the goal of furthering L5P as a welcoming place for everyone, and celebrating the diversity of Atlanta and all its citizens.  Please join us in working for a better society and fundamental change to minimize and/OR eradicate racism and exclusion of any kind.

The Little Five Points Alliance was formed to create more collaboration and unity among Little Five Points property owners, business owners, our community improvement district, our neighborhoods and lovers of Little Five Points. The Alliance aims to maintain Little Five Points as a welcoming, fun, and exciting experience and gathering spot for visitors and the surrounding neighborhoods. Our collective goals include improving our current state, leveraging our resources and facilitating change for the better. It isn't an easy task aligning organizations toward collective goals and change. However, we recognize that we ARE stronger together and that each of us has a role to play in creating lasting change.
