Findley Plaza Update
The final design plans for the Findley Plaza redesign passed the Urban Design Commission on March 14th. Now, the designs go into the City of Atlanta’s procurement process where contractors will bid for the project. We hope the process will yield a contractor to start in June. Due to the slow down associated with refining the City’s procurement process which includes transparency, it is unsure whether we will have an answer in June. If the process extends past September, then we will postpone construction to late October after the L5P Halloween Parade and Festival which is October 19th.
The Little 5 Points Community Improvement District (L5PCID) is diligently keeping up with the Findley Plaza redesign project. The GDOT project for Moreland Avenue is also a factor in the progress of Findley Plaza. See the plans for Moreland Ave here.
If all goes as planned, a grand opening could happen in Spring 2020. Worst case scenario would be Summer 2020. We will continue to update on the progress via blog posts. Feel free to contact info@l5pa.com for any questions related to Findley Plaza.
