Love for Little 5 Points
December 6, 2018 marked the launch of the new unified organization for Little 5 Points. The Little 5 Points Alliance welcomed over 120 commercial property owners, new business owners as well as business owner of more than 20+ years, Inman Park and Candler Park residents as well as surrounding neighbors. Little 5 Corner Tavern was bustling with good energy and a lot of love for Little 5 Points and it’s future. The launch party introduced the volunteer chartering board of directors who have committed their time and expertise to stand up the new organization.
The event featured the new Findley Plaza design with an estimated beginning of the process to start after Memorial Day 2019. The new Findley Plaza will feature a flexible community space that will welcome everyone. The Little 5 Points Community Improvement District is working with the City of Atlanta on a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to be able to manage, sustain, secure and program the plaza once the construction is completed sometime in Spring of 2020.
Over $3000 was raised through the Findley Plaza Granite Tile and Founding Member program. Thank you to Sevananda, Liz McCurtain & Tim Horton and The Junkman’s Daughter for donating. Deadline to donate and get your tile in the new Findley Plaza is March 31, 2019. Donate online or by mail.
At the beginning of the new year, The L5P Alliance will work on creating a Findley Plaza Activation Plan that will communicate about the construction project and plan for programming of the new space.
