LEGACY BUSINESSES OFFER A BRAND NEW VIEW THIS OCTOBER IN ATLANTA’S BEST SHOPPING DISTRICT

ATLANTA, Georgia 一 The Little Five Points Alliance (L5PA) presents the First Annual L5P Window Exhibit featuring larger-than-life photographs of the Little 5 Points Festival and Parade’s history on over 20 L5P merchant windows. The free exhibit opening begins on October 9, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Little 5 Points Pharmacy, 484 Moreland Ave NE.  The exhibit will be on display the entire month of October as part of the 21st Annual Atlanta Celebrates Photography Fest.

The First Annual L5P Halloween Window Exhibit showcases 20 images by local photographers chosen by a community panel of judges including Judith Pishnery, the chief operating officer of the Atlanta Photography Group. Pishnery's expertise was supported by Little 5 Points Alliance board member, Christina Hodgen, a professional photographer and resident of Candler Park.

Window Exhibit visionary and panel judge, Keith Borow, shared with us: “[I thought] how cool would it be to drive through Little 5 during October and Atlanta Celebrates Photography, and be in a gallery of select festival moments, blown up huge in store windows? The perfect marriage of subject and community. So thankful for the L5P Alliance and their help to make the idea a reality!”

The Window Exhibit sponsored by Digital Picture, is the launch event for the new L5PA initiative, Weird Wednesdays. Weird Wednesdays activates the neighborhood in the middle of the week and encourages neighbors who live in proximity to Atlanta’s ‘Best Shopping District,’ as recently voted by Creative Loafing, to enjoy the district year-round with features of legacy businesses, arts and the unexpected.

Exploring the Window Exhibit will get you ready for the biggest Halloween Festival and Parade in the southeast on Saturday October 19th and a new perspective on legacy businesses like 37-year old Junkman’s Daughter on Moreland Avenue to the new kid on the block, Heet ATL, located on Euclid Avenue.
