MOBILITY & PLACEMAKING
FINDLEY PLAZA
The Little Five Points Community Improvement District (L5PCID) has leveraged funding from the City’s Renew Atlanta bond, Park Pride support, local business funds, and individuals for the redevelopment of Findley Plaza. The goal of the newly redesigned public plaza is to create a flexible, community driven space that is welcoming to all.
Little five Mobility Study
Over the past two years, the L5P Alliance has been hard at work at developing the Little 5 Mobility Study in partnership with Lord Aeck Sargent. Among other things, it imagines a complete transformation of Euclid Avenue including mid-block crossings, new tree plantings, parklets for outdoor dining, bicycle infrastructure, improved sidewalks, a new plaza at Austin Avenue and more. The full project will ultimately cost almost $3 million once complete.
GDOT improvements on Moreland
The Alliance has worked closely with our partners at the Georgia Department of Transportation to make pedestrian and cycling improvements to Moreland Avenue, which is a state road. In 2020, GDOT added a new HAWK signal for a midblock crossing, laid out brand new sidewalks, narrowed vehicular lanes, and created a protected bike lane. This $3M+ investment helps create a safer Moreland Avenue through Little 5 Points.
